Series "the Demon" is based on the impression from the poem in verses written by M.Y. Lermontov and from splendid music by A.G. Rubistein to the eponymous opera.

These works can be considered both as theatrical sketches and as decorative paintings. Each painting appears as self-sufficient and at the same time makes a part absolutely essential to perceive the whole composition. The color, the texture, the tonal solution of each painting, each touch and line – everything favors the immersion into the musical and poetical nature.
